Terms of use

WeddUniverse is a wedding planning tool: a guest list, a budget, a schedule, photographs, and a wedding website at wedduniverse.cz/your-address. You use it in a browser; there is nothing to install.

You need an account and a working email address. Your password is your responsibility. One wedding may have at most three administrators, and you decide who they are. You must be over 15 to create an account.

Everything you put into the product — text, photographs, your guest list — remains yours. We use it only to provide the service, and the infrastructure providers listed on the privacy page process it to the extent necessary. If you enable the assistant, that page also describes exactly what is sent to its operator. Deleting a wedding deletes its content, stored photographs included.

When you enter your guests’ data you are the controller in respect of them and we are the processor; our duties as processor are set out in the processing terms below. You undertake that you are entitled to enter the data, that you will let guests correct or remove it, and that you will enter a guest’s allergies only with their consent.

The service may not be used to send unsolicited messages, to share content you have no rights to, for unlawful content, or to attempt access to somebody else’s wedding. We may suspend access if it is.

We try to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is announced in advance. There is no SLA.

The free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are recurring monthly or annual subscriptions; the current price, period length, and next payment date are shown before purchase and in Manage subscription. A subscription renews until you cancel it or a scheduled end date is reached.

You can cancel in Manage subscription. When you delete a wedding, we end its active Stripe subscription before removing the data; for an App Store subscription, you must first turn off renewal in your Apple ID settings. You can delete individual weddings or your account in the application. We may stop providing the service on 30 days’ notice, and will let you download your content if we do.

The service is provided as it is. We are not liable for indirect loss or loss of profit. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — in particular for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer, you may take a dispute to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority as an out-of-court resolution body.

For guest data, photographs, documents and messages that you or your guests put into a wedding, you are the controller and WeddUniverse is the processor. These terms are the data processing agreement required by Art. 28 GDPR and form part of the terms of use:

1. Subject and duration: we process only to provide the service, for as long as you keep the wedding; processing ends when it is deleted.
2. Nature and data: storage, display, sending invitations and messages, and printing. Data subjects are guests, their children and companions, and suppliers; the data is names, contact details, answers, seating, photographs, voice and video messages, documents and, with the guest’s consent, allergies and diet (a special category).
3. Instructions: we process only on your instructions, which you give by using and configuring the service. We will tell you if we believe an instruction infringes the law.
4. Confidentiality: only people who need the data to run the service can reach it, and they are bound to confidentiality. A platform administrator’s access to a wedding is read-only, time-limited and logged.
5. Security: we take the measures of Art. 32 GDPR — encryption in transit and at rest, separation between weddings, access decided only on the server, time-limited signed links to files and limits on repeated attempts.
6. Sub-processors: you give general authorisation for the processors listed on the Privacy page. We will email you at least 30 days before a planned change, and you may object to it or close your account. We bind sub-processors to the same obligations.
7. Assistance: we help you answer data subjects’ requests — exporting and erasing a guest are built into the service — and with impact assessments or consulting the supervisory authority.
8. Breaches: we notify you of a breach affecting your data without undue delay and no later than 48 hours after we become aware of it, with the information you need to report it.
9. End: deleting the wedding or account deletes the data, files included; backups expire within 30 days at the latest. You can download the data with an export before deleting.
10. Audit: on request we provide the information needed to demonstrate compliance with these obligations and allow a reasonable audit.
